There were 58 students enrolled in the two fifth-grade classes on Aug. 17.

  1. To the Carderock Parents: this is what you voted for when you voted for the current Board of Education. The current Board, led by Shirley Brandman and Pat O'Neill, decided to spend millions and millions on tech toys, $300 light bulbs, and magical clickers instead of teachers. oh, and a $9MILLION PR department for Jerry Weaast. Why so surprised? This is what you voted for. If you want a change, this year you can choose people that actually care about teachers and children. If you want a board that cares about children and teachers vote for Lyda Astrove --Louis Wilen -- and Agnes Jones-Trower. This year you have a choice.
