MCPS pay facts

The following information has been provided courtesy of the MCPS Public Information Office.
  • Number of MCPS employees who earn more than $100,000 per year: 2,465
  • Number of MCPS employees who earn more than $70,000 per year: 8,028
  • Highest paid school principal:  Michael Doran (Wootton High School):  $150,123
  • Total number of MCPS employees (includes part-time employees): 21,432

    Thanks. They will fire teachers anyway now. But her's a quick way to keep class sizes low while saving money: Make sure everyone classified as a teacher is actually working with children.

    Enough is enough - time for top management to take a 15% cut, and layoff at least 10% of their staff. Leave the TEACHERS alone - they should be earning the top salaries, not administration. When will we learn to value our educators?!!!!!!They are our FUTURE!
