Coming Soon: The Brickyard Organic Soccer Academy

I’m always thinking of public charter school ideas that might work here in Montgomery County.

This Chicago soccer academy caught my eye --http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/education/ct-met-soccer-charter-0407-20110406,0,4084997.story .

We know that the Board of Education is crazed about soccer and a new county report reveals that we are failing an entire generation of Latino youth --http://wamu.org/d/links/11765.pdf .

So, they should just go ahead and build a soccer academy school on the Brickyard (Potomac) site http://www.gazette.net/stories/04062011/bethnew195607_32533.php?

We could get MSI to run the school -- http://www.msisoccer.org/default_css.aspx.  They know how to organize and manage stuff.

We strike a deal with Nick the Farmer to feed our soccer stars -- http://www.nicksorganicfarm.com/brickyardroadproperty.html .  And the Board partners with Identity -- http://www.identity-youth.org/ -- to recruit Latino youth.  Potomac can use more brown faces.
