Just as 9 towers are about to go up at public schools throughout DeKalb County, GA, this cell tower catches on fire from a simple welding project and it burns for more than an hour and a half before it could be extinguished. With it being within striking distance of a daycare, several homes and a gas station, it is almost like we received a warning about what we are doing to ourselves. Of course the main concern that seemed to be on the reporters' minds was the sympathy for the cell phone users who were without service during that time. WOW, talk about missing the point!
