Montgomery Co. Catches Howard Co. Teacher and charges him with Prostitution-Sexual Solicitation of Minor

Dear Glenelg HS Community,

I am writing to inform you that I received very disturbing news today. Richard Kemp, an English teacher at Glenelg High School, was arrested today in Montgomery County by police on charges of prostitution-general as well as sexual solicitation of a minor.

A long-term substitute has been secured for Mr. Kemp's classes until further notice. School counselors are available to talk privately with students, and I encourage parents and guardians to have open dialog with your child as well.

The incident remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Police Department, and we are supporting both the Montgomery County and Howard County police departments as the investigation continues.
